In Summer 2026, Studio S3 was brought on board to support the highly anticipated opening of RH’s luxury gallery in Mayfair, London. Working directly alongside AV contractor Perception Live, we executed a striking lighting design originally conceived by Untitled Project and finalised in collaboration with Robot Proof.

What began as a dedicated lighting deployment for the gallery’s grand opening night quickly evolved into a multi-phase technical partnership. Because the venue’s permanent lighting system was not yet fully operational, Studio S3 was retained to light the site for an extended period. We have since returned to the gallery to provide additional, highly targeted architectural lighting to highlight key moments and displays within the space.

Operating in a newly developed, premium retail and hospitality space presented unique logistical challenges. The setup windows were minimal, and access to consistent on-site power was severely limited. To navigate this without compromising premium design aesthetic, we turned exclusively to a 100% battery-powered ecosystem using Astera fixtures. This allowed for maximum flexibility, rapid deployment, and a completely cable-free environment that maintained the pristine, high-end visual standard expected of the RH brand.

Control was managed seamlessly over a robust wireless DMX infrastructure, utilising an Avolites Quartz console paired with four Astera Art7 Wireless Transmitters to ensure flawless communication across the sprawling gallery space.

At the peak of the project, Studio S3 managed one of our largest single-site deployments of battery-powered fixtures to date. Scaling the equipment to perfectly match the design requirements, our maximum simultaneous deployment featured nearly 300 individual fixtures:

In addition to our core lighting deployment, Studio S3 provided essential technical consultation for the gallery’s dining hall. We advised on and strategised temporary audio solutions, specifying a system of wireless, battery-powered speakers that could deliver even, high-fidelity acoustic coverage without visually disrupting the dining environment.
